House Call Fees
Dr Steve strives to keep his fees fair and comparable to those of his colleagues, but they are definitely higher than fees at veterinary hospitals these days. An estimate will be provided on request, before any services are performed. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to text or email. All fees are up to date.
Professional Fees
House Call All Patients
This fee is for the trip to your home in Dr Steve's main territory. It does not include exams, treatments, laboratory tests, medications, or vaccines.
Exam & Consult New Patients & Wellness Patients
Physical examination and consultation for one pet. Applies to new patients, wellness exams, vaccine visits and health checks for travel. Also applies to visits for new or recurring problems, if Dr Steve has provided a wellness exam or vaccine to the same pet in the last 12 months. Think of it as a club membership reward!
Exam & Consult Non-Wellness Patients
Physical examination and consultation for one pet. Applies if Dr Steve is seeing your pet for a new or recurring problem, and he has not provided a wellness exam or vaccine to the same pet in the last 12 months. Join the "club" and save $45 per pet per visit!
Quality of Life All Patients
Physical exam, review of medical history, and quality of life assessment for one pet. These visits are open-ended, we'll take all the time we need.

Group Aquamation:
Add on fee. Multiple pets are aquamated together and remains are scattered at sea. Recent scattering locations can be seen here oceansoflovepets.com . (For pets over 80 lbs, Dr Steve cannot assist with transportation/aquamation.)

Memorial Items
The crematories offer decorative urns, clay paw prints, ink paw prints, ink nose prints and hair clippings. Framing is available for ink prints. Pricing is available on request.
Other fees
Cancellation
May be charged when a pet owner cancels a house call with less than 12 hours notice, or when a pet owner is not home at the agreed upon time.
Extra Handling
May be charged when a pet's behavior demands extra time, effort and/or risk to personnel.
Extra Travel
Additional $300 per hour for travel after leaving main territory, minimum $150. This will vary with the day & time, but estimates are available.
NDA
Dr Steve doesn't mind signing reasonable nondisclosure agreements, but there will be an extra charge for this contract.
Payments accepted
Full payment is required at the time of the house call, unless prior arrangements have been made. Dr Steve accepts cash, debit cards, ApplePay, Venmo, Zelle, Care Credit, ScratchPay, VISA, MasterCard, American Express & Discover. With a valid California Drivers License or State ID, he'll even take a local personal check.**
**Conditions when checks cannot be accepted:
1) Check address or residence outside of Los Angeles County.
2) Previously returned check.
3) Euthanasia services.
4) New client.
